Dress code

We do not have a dress code in the dining room nor in the bar area. Whether you are joining us after a day in the mountains, or are dressed up for a special occasion, we welcome you to come as you are.

Guidelines

Our restaurant is generally not the best environment for young children. While we welcome families, we ask parents to keep children at the table and to calm vocal infants or youngsters outside of the dining room. We do not have a changing table available in the building.

To minimize distractions to other guests, please take cell phone conversations out of seated areas, set devices to silent, and use headphones when playing videos or music.

We are a small restaurant with limited seating. To ensure that all guests receive ample time at their table, we adhere to a strict 20 minute grace period for reservations. If you are running more than 20 minutes late for your reservation, please give us a call so that we can make the necessary changes.

We do not allow pets inside or outside on either the back patio or the front porch.

Carry out

We can only take carry out orders when it does not interrupt the flow of service. Because of this, we are often unable to accept carry out orders from 4:00-8:30 on Fridays and Saturdays. Please call us at (540) 860-5605 to see if we are able to place a carry out order for you.

Payment

We accept cash, all major credit cards, and gift cards issued specifically for The Chop House Bistro. Gift cards purchased at The LOCAL Chop & Grill House in Harrisonburg or The Chop House Tavern in Staunton are not transferable. While our point of sale systems allow the use of Apple Pay and Tap to Pay, it is not compatible with all cards.
